Welcome a Refugee Child: Ukraine Edition
All are welcome: Ukraine Edition.
This activity provides a hands-on experience for kids and families to learn about the importance of welcoming refugees, with a special emphasis on the crisis in Ukraine. Put your child’s crafting skills into action by decorating and personalizing a welcome kit for a newly resettled refugee child in the United States.
To help create an easy and fun experience for kids, we include a prepaid return mailer to send welcome kits to our nonprofit partner, Miry’s List.
Understand more about the refugee resettlement experience as a family with these easy and fun learning activities and take action to help welcome a family in need. To help guide dialogue with children around the crisis in Ukraine, we’ve included a special note to parents and crafting materials inspired by the Ukrainian flag colors.
100% of proceeds from this box will be donated to Miry’s List.
Mini books that include an age-appropriate overview on refugees and displaced people, real-life stories to build empathy, and instructions for learning activities, impact projects, and more.

Miry’s List provides a way for people to help new arrival refugee families with the things that they need to get started in their new lives, from diapers to beds to cleaning supplies and toiletries. Each family has a unique list of supplies that they need to get started and Miry’s List network helps meet their needs.
